Our driver guide Peter Jamieson . . was a complete joy to us, making a success of our trip all day, every day. He drives a new Volvo Estate, which rides comfortably and has room for our luggage. He also has a small refrigerator, so that we always had cold bottled water. He gave us information about the countryside and villages through which we were passing and the history of these places. If there was anything he couldn't t immediately tell us, he had piles of information . . and could quickly find out. He was most helpful in making suggestions about gardens we might visit, and rearranging plans when necessary. He was so willing, . amiable, intelligent, and easy to get along with, that the days went by all too fast. He really worked overtime in the evenings, making plans for the following day.

Nourished by reading, recollection and conversation, the euphoria lingers still! For everything you did for my husband and me during our recent travel, for your patience with us and for the fascinating and valuable information you imparted to us - seriously when appropriate and with wit, humour and charm at times - we thank you again. You were deeply appreciated as a person as well as for the excellent service you provided.

All good things must come to an end but memories like our experience with you will never be forgotten: you were a perfect guide, a humorist, a referee, but most of all a grand human being who the three of us will never forget. We loved the tapes.

The travel agency described you as "excellent English guide with much experience, intelligence (Gentleman!)" What they did not mention was "good sense of humour, brilliant ideas, strong nerves, strong will (you got up that hill) etc." I do thank you for your great help and support and for 2 unforgettable days in London.
So, dear Gentleman, thanks again.

We would like to thank you very much indeed, Peter, for all the trouble you took with this after all the last minute hassle . . . It was REALLY appreciated. Fortunately it put our VIP in a good mood for the rest of the week. We were told that they all loved their day with you - especially the map reading!

I particularly want to commend our tour guide. Mr. Peter Jamieson. I've often thought that keeping track of a group of tourists and keeping them amused at the same time must require an unusual combination of talents. Peter proves the theory. He was knowledgeable, most entertaining, very helpful with suggestions for extracurricular activities, and handled our physical arrangements so smoothly that it looked easy. He's by far the best we've had in our three cruises with you.

You were helpful, extremely courteous, and kind to the "old folks". Your wit kept us cheerful and alert; and your commentary and "history" lessons were great.
My wife especially enjoyed your selection of music

Your wonderful English wit and priceless stories about history truly made each of our tours delightful. Ordinarily I hate bus (oh excuse me, "coach") tours but thanks to you, each one was a special treat. You are truly in the right business.

We are so grateful to you - you really made our trip. It worked out perfectly. Day after day we were together and we enjoyed every minute, due to your diligence, thoughtfulness, kindness, good driving, good car, attention to detail - and delightful personality. You were very perceptive about our feelings in every way. We think about you often, and we love to talk about the gardens - these are recollections to cherish for years ahead.
